Greek? Mexican? Options for everyone? Three new Boca Raton restaurants worth checking out

Whether you live in southern Palm Beach County or are even just passing through, there’s hot bed of new dining destinations in Boca Raton that make it worth getting out of the house.

And that one-time worry that Boca Raton restaurants shutter at “Boca midnight,” aka way too early, to make that trip worthwhile also should be vanquished. With a changing demographic, some of these new spots are more than happy to satisfy those late night cravings when they hit.

The fourth and latest restaurant in this South Florida chain, El Camino in Boca Raton opened on Dec. 15.

This is the largest of the El Camino family — the others are in West Palm Beach, Delray Beach and Fort Laurderdale. The Boca Raton location is now officially the chain’s flagship.

Located along the perimeter of Town Center Mall in a new development called “Restaurant Row,” El Camino makes practically everything from scratch, featuring some of the finest classic Mexican fare in South Florida.

From appetizers like chips and salsa, Mexican street corn, tamales, short rib empanadas and ceviche del mar, to nearly a dozen different tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, burritos and much, much more.

It offers both inside and outside seating with a massive outdoor fireplace with 80 seats situated around it.

Taking advantage of Boca’s changing demographic, El Camino offers not one, but two happy hours. The first runs from 4 to 7 p.m. and then another kicks in from midnight to 2 a.m. Those time blocks feature fantastic food specials.
